For the crafty and not-so-crafty, The Makerie is an arts and crafts studio designed to build community through creativity that just so happens to have a really amazing coffee bar in it.
We like to do things a bit differently, and dare you to too.

The projects below are once that our Master of Creative Chaos and team of Craftenders have created in house for you to tackle! These projects are available every day the studio is open for you to get crafty! While reservations are strongly encouraged, you can also drop-in. If we have the room, we will happily get you crafting!

DAILY Arts & Crafts
Drop in to flex your creative muscles with our carefully curated rotating selection of projects. We assemble all the materials, our Craftenders provide instructions, and we even clean up the creative chaos! You'll leave with a project to treasure and an experience to remember. Reservations recommended!
THE COFFEE BAR
No crafting required. Come meet Gunther, our manual hand-built espresso machine, and taste one of our carefully curated artisan coffee or tea drinks. Enjoy it at one of our community or crafting tables, or get it to go if you can't join us in studio. Amp it up a notch with a mouth-watering treat crafted by our specialty bakery.
Specialty Workshops
We partner with talented artisans (and tap into our own creative expertise) to deliver some amazing after-hours, hands-on workshops. These sessions all require pre-registration and are typically suited for adult makers. You'll walk away with new skills, a hand-crafted item by you, and an amazing experience.

SPECIAL EVENTS & WORKSHOPS
Evenings at The Makerie are reserved for special fun times. They might be workshops requiring more instruction or special tools.
They might be movie nights. They might be maker markets. Or they might be something else weird and wacky that we dreamed up.
You don't want to miss them
These events require pre-registration (unless they're a market or something like that). Many of these events shave limited seats and often sell out - get your tickets quickly. Most also have a minimum registration to run. We make the go/no-go call typically 48 hours before the session. For this reason, tickets are non-refundable 48 hours before the session begins. Tickets usually are transferrable though.
STUDIO USE
Our cafe seating is always free and we usually have a no cost large community table available. Our own craft projects include the use of the studio. If you'd like to use the studio to work on your own creative project, work, study or play a table top game you can do so for a small studio fee of $5/hr per person.
CORPORATE GROUPS
The creative process is one of the most scary places for organizations to operate, but we promise that it can be fun and easy. The Makerie is the perfect place for a team building retreat, celebration or meeting. We can host you during our regular hours or book a private session just for your team.
The Nook
The Nook is little corner of The Makerie filled with jars of creative fun. Need a single pink pom pom for your project? We probably have that. Need three black beads? Yup. We probably have that too. We have all kinds of random arts and crafts supplies that you can buy to supplement your project or create a project of your own. You can also rent some basic tools like scissors, hot glue guns, needles and more.

MAKERIE MERCH
A common refrain from staff and customers alike, "I Hate It Here" has become a motto of sorts at The Makerie. I mean, specialty coffee, beautiful teas, delicious baked goods, arts & crafts, fun, joy, happiness, friends, sometimes live music. All the things we hate, and we're sure you hate too. ;)
PORTRAIT BOOTH
Watch for The Makerie's portrait booth at community events around town! A real live artist will draw your portrait in about 10 minutes. Not a true caricature, but an artist rendition. You never know who might be in the booth! Want us at your event? Contact us to see if we're available!
PAINT NIGHTS
We love paint nights but do things a bit differently here. Check out our upcoming events to watch for fun nights like Paint-a-Pal, Shoe Customization, Go Go Gadget Arm Painting and our infamous Red Light Paint Nights. We're going to push you outside your comfort zone but we know it'll be fun there.

BRIDAL PARTIES
The Makerie is a perfect place to celebrate the bride-to-be! We have several options for projects designed perfectly with the bride in mind. Some are suitable for crafting during our regular operating hours, others for after-hours private bookings. More details coming to our site soon, for now, contact us for info.
Makerie to TAKERIE
Can't craft in the studio? Get a craft kit to go!
Makerie to Takerie kits include almost everything you need to take on one of our crafts from home. You'll likely need a hot glue gun, a paint brush, a pair of scissors and occasionally something like a pair of pliers. Step by step instructions are included.
RENT THE MAKERIE
The Makerie is a pretty unique location and is perfect for hosting a wide variety of events for up to 50 people. We've done everything from filming movies, corporate appreciation events, to a grand opening of a taco truck. What would you like to host at The Makerie? More info coming soon. For now, ask us!
