The Makerie welcomes birthdays of all ages into the studio! We’ll set you up with your crafts, treats, drinks, and anything else you need. You can even do a gift exchange while you’re here!
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED
MINIMUM OF THREE (3) DAYS NOTICE
Our Craftenders have chosen the projects below because they are just perfect for a party. They are fun for ALL ages and skill levels - not just for kids! Each of these projects can be completed in 1 -2 hours.
We recommend that everyone in your party do the same project. It helps ensure that everyone gets the proper instructions and finishes their projects in approximately the same amount of time (also helps prevent meltdowns with the littles). And if you don’t see something you like here, just let us know! We’ve done HUNDREDS of projects!
THOUGHTS FOR KIDDO PARTIES
SAME CrAFT FOR ALL
All kids attending the party MUST do the same project. We have tried to accommodate multiple projects and it simply leads to frustrated kids, frustrated parents and ineveitable meltdowns.
HOT & SHARP THINGS
Most Makerie projects include the use of scissors and hot glue guns. Depending on the age ofd the kids, they may need quite a bit of adult assistance with these tools. We are not staffed to provide that kind of one-on-one support so will need your help!
TREATS
There’s no outside food permitted in the studio but we are happy to prepare cupcakes for your party from our teeny tiny Bakerie at The Makerie! Alternately, our coffee bar is available for treats a la carte.
SHOES ON
Lots of kiddos make themselves right at home at The Makerie and take of their shoes. The Makerie is an active craft studio and sharp objects can fall on the floor throughout the day. Shoes MUST be worn at all times.
DRINKS
For littles, popular party drinks include hot cocoa, flavoured steamed milk and juice boxes The simpler the better.
NO RUNNING
There is absolutely NO running permitted in the studio. Sharp tools, hot coffee and other dangers may be travelling throughout the studio.
SUPERVISION
Parent/Guardian/Adult supervision is required. Kids are NOT to be dropped off at The Makerie without adult supervision.
THE NOOK
The Nook is filled with craft supplies and typewriters. Please watch your children in here. Everything is very touchable. Items in the Nook are available for purchase at additional cost. They are not free to use.

Alternately, our coffee bar is available for treats a la carte. If you book a private after-hour booking, then we can discuss additional options which range from potlucks to food trucks to full catering.
DRINKS
During regular operating hours our coffee bar is available for coffee/tea and other drinks a la carte. For private after hours bookings, we can discuss a special event liquor license if you'd like to partake in some wine, beer or other drinks.
AFTER HOURS BOOKINGS
Additional costs are incurred for private after hour bookings. We will build a custom quote for you based on your party needs.
