Welcome to The Makerie - a Craft and Coffee Bar located in downtown Prince George.


Our staff are known as Craftenders. Reporting to the Master of Creative Chaos, Craftenders are front line folks responsible for creating a legendary customer experience whether it be at the coffee bar, helping with craft projects, or providing support during special events and workshops.

We are a small, tight knit crew and our goal is to have Craftenders trained to be able to perform across the front-counter service area, assist in the coffee bar as well as working with our crafts. This is what makes us really flexible and awesome. 




  • Providing a ridiculously amazing front-line customer experience

  • Assembling detailed craft kits with and eye for beautiful presentation

  • Helping customers of all ages with basic arts and craft techniques, ideas and use of specialized tools/equipment

  • Crafting and serving artisan coffees and teas according to recipes and/or customer customizations

  • Receiving shipments, tracking inventory of supplies and retail products

  • Performing opening, cleaning, maintenance and closing duties following business, safety and sanitation procedures

  • Creating and maintaining beautiful displays as well as selling retail products

  • Receiving, managing and hosting group bookings

  • Special event support including ticketing, decor, set up, vendor relationships, hosting

  • Preparing baked goods according to recipes

  • Helping to create creative displays and installations

  • A willingness to learn

  • An interest in and some basic abilities in arts and crafts

  • An interest in coffee/tea culture and craftsmanship with a willingness to learn how WE do it

  • Attention to detail 

  • Food Safe Level One - required

  • Serving It Right - not required but would be awesome if you did

  • A high school diploma

  • High levels of reliability and responsibility

  • Excellent communication & organizational skills

  • Legal ability to work in Canada
