"GROUNDED"

During the COVID-19 pandemic we are all encouraged to stay at home, as if we are being GROUNDED - punished. We're not. Staying home is an act that demonstrates compassion for our fellow humans. It is a gift of pause and of connecting with ourselves and others in completely new ways.

This is a time where many are turning inward, taking the time to reassess their needs and values. To reflect. To practice mindfulness and mindset work. It is a time where many are working on becoming more GROUNDED in who they are.

While practicing social distance we are all connected. Perhaps now more than ever. The world has never felt more small. Together we stand against challenge. Together. While isolation, quarantine and distance are words that consume us, we must stay connected.

GROUNDED is a project designed to keep up connected. A running landscape of the ground that we're on - the ground that connects us all - created through a creative process that can bring us calm during a storm.

Who can participate

Anyone! Everyone!

You. Your kids. Your grandparents. All around the world.

YOUR "CANVAS"

Everyone participating must create on the same size "canvas". Your canvas can be anything - paper, cake, the ground, wood, fabric. Your surface should be 5 inches wide by 11 inches tall.

THE HORIZON

In order to connect everyone's landscape, we will keep a consistent horizon line. This line will be measured 5 inches from the bottom of your "canvas".

Just like your "canvas", your art supplies can be anything! Paper, paint, pencil crayons, rocks, icing, buttons, paper clips, herbs - whatever you have on hand.
