About the Event
This Friday, skip Black Friday and join us for Plaid Friday and support local businesses! Join the fun and wear plaid!
In addition to celebrating local for Plaid Friday, we have partnered with the United Way to launch their tree of lights holiday fundraiser to support their many charitable ventures.
We've created a special one-day holiday event to mark the occasion!
Participation in the creative projects is $25 per person. $6 from this fee will be donated to the United Way.
Includes free hot cocoa or apple cider.
No registration required. Participation in these creative stations is first come first served from 10am - 7pm.
Join us and take part in the following:
- Add your holiday touch by painting an ornament or other decoration on our giant community Christmas tree painting!
- Create your own wrapping paper with our fun textured stamps and paint!
- Make a cinnamon scented salt dough ornament and decorated it with seeds, beans, and various other natural items. Once dry, it will make an adorable addition to your own Christmas tree or use as a gift topper!
- Make a sparkly snowflake or tree shaped ornament using pipe cleaners and beads!
Please note:
- For those not wanting to craft, the coffee bar will be open for drinks and treats. No further admission fee required.
- Regular drop-in crafting will not be permitted on this day so we can hold this special creative session.
- Admission is a flat fee and will not be broken down to specific activities for those only wishing to take part in one or two of the stations.
The work the United Way undertakes in helping address many of the issues of homelessness, mental health & addictions, and other social crises in downtown Prince George is incredible important to us. They have long standing relationships and engagement with many organizations, committees, action groups, working groups that are undertaking the incredibly complex, challenging and important work in this area. We love our downtown community and want nothing but the best for the people who are part of it.
