Pysanky: Ukranian Easter Eggs: April 1 2023

This is a special session where you get to learn some traditional and modern techniques for decorating eggs using Ukrainian Pysanky techniques.

Participants will get to use a Kistka (hot wax pen), beeswax, and a variety of dyes, to create a one of a kind work of art… on an egg.

In this session, we will be using all natural dyes made at The Makerie using plants and food. These will create much more natural and subtle colours than those that you'd get from artificial dyes. They make for absolutely stunning and cohesive colour schemes on the eggs. 

Templates and inspiration for both traditional and modern designs will be available. 

This session uses hot wax and open flame and is not permitted for participants under the age of 16.
