About the Event
Join us for a special workshop with Guest Maker Terri, from Something Magical!
Immerse yourself in the world of needle felting with a three-hour, intimate workshop to learn how to make a needle felted moth with a professional felter at your side.
Moths have captured our imagination for as long as there have been humans on this planet. Like their daytime counterpart, the butterfly, moths are symbols of transformation; but being nocturnal they are also associated with mystery, darkness, and that which is unknown or unknowable. We love them and oddly even fear them, but they undeniably hold a strange fascination, and as both pollinators and food sources for other creatures of the night, moths are an integral part of our ecosystems. Moths are also one of the most perfect subjects for felting! They already look as though they are made of textiles! They also come in so many variations of colours and styles and also lend themselves so well to imaginative interpretation that the possibilities for felted moths are really quite endless!
