COVID-19 Protocols
Updated APRIL 8, 2022
NOTE: this page may not be up-to-date with the current provincial, national or regional health orders as they are changing rapidly.

We want everyone to come and have an amazing experience, but we also want to everyone to be safe and happy and healthy.

We, like all of you, are very much ready for all the Covid-y stuff to be over and done with. Until then, we carry on and do our best to make it through all the weirdness. The past two years have honestly been really brutal and we are emotionally wrung out. We know that there are pretty passionate folks on either side of the vaccine passports thing, but know that we're working really hard to keep our business going and appreciate your kindness and ongoing support. We wouldn't be here without you all!

-
The Makerie continues to follow the public health orders. Proof of vaccination is no longer required to sit in-studio.
-
Face masks are now optional at The Makerie, as per provincial public space recommendation.
-
In-studio and coffee bar seating is available. Tables at The Makerie typically seat 2 - 6 people comfortably. Larger groups can be accommodated.

-
At The Makerie there are a lot of shared tools. We will be continuing our work to sanitize tools as best as we can, but do recommend that guests use the hand sanitizer that’s everywhere throughout the space and wash your hands frequently.
-
Please check in at the front upon arrival before securing a seat. Tables and seats will be assigned. Each table is numbered and each seat at each table is numbered. We won’t be ushering you to your table, but please sit in your assigned seats. Please do not move tables or chairs without permission. If you require additional seats to accommodate your party, please notify and Craftender and we will assist you as the situation allows.
-
The washrooms will be locked and sanitized regularly. Customer use only, always.
-
Reusable mugs are now permitted at The Makerie. You remove and replace the lid.
-
We’ll be sanitizing tables and chairs in between guests and we’ll be sanitizing high touch points frequently as well.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding with the constant evolution of C19 regulations. Be patient and kind with us, please, as we work to get you all the best and safest experience possible.
